Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive is looking for a data engineer to build and optimize data pipelines powering analytics and AI/ML workloads. You will assemble AI-ready datasets, design RAG infrastructure, and streamline ETL/ELT processes across diverse data sources.

You will enable cross-functional collaboration, harmonize large datasets, and support scalable data delivery for next-gen products. Hybrid work in Piscataway, NJ with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; graduate degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Architecture: Build and maintain data pipeline architecture for analytics and AI/ML workloads.
• AI-Ready Datasets: Assemble large data sets with metadata for model training/fine-tuning.
• RAG & Generative AI Infrastructure: Design data pipelines for RAG systems, including embeddings and vector sync.
• ETL/ELT Excellence: Develop infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading from diverse sources.
• Process Optimization: Automate manual processes and redesign infrastructure for scalability.
• Cross-Functional Tooling: Create data tools for analytics and data scientist teams.
• Data Harmonization: Harmonize large, disconnected datasets to reveal insights.
