Job summary

RA Capital Management is building an AI-enabled data platform to power research, investment, and operations for healthcare data. We seek an engineer to design and operate data pipelines, standardize data, and enable self-service analytics via LLM-driven interfaces.

You will work with the Databricks and API-based data access technologies, collaborating with AI/ML teams and vendors. Hybrid Boston-area role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, Data Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3+ years of experience in software or data engineering.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Based in Massachusetts, able to work in the Boston area, and a hybrid schedule.
• Flexibility to work outside standard business hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable, production-grade data pipelines for healthcare datasets.
• Build and optimize data models in Databricks to support analytical and AI workloads.
• Develop high-quality Python and SQL code for data standardization and validation.
• Partner with AI/ML engineers to enable LLM-powered data access.
• Contribute to AI-native data access frameworks.
• Collaborate with healthcare data vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Implement monitoring, governance, and validation for data and AI workflows.
• Document data architectures and AI-enabled pipelines.
