Clearance: Top-secret

The SME Engineer 4 provides strategic, technical, and programmatic advice concerning emerging capabilities in high performance scientific and visual modeling for the United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Analysis Center (DAC). DEVCOM/DAC is the Army’s focal point for data analysis and Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for the Army’s Future Force Modernization Enterprise (FFME).

  1. Conduct analytical investigations, modeling, and simulations, and laboratory and field experiments to support the Army’s overmatch in a contested electromagnetic spectrum.
  2. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
  3. Using domain knowledge of U.S. Army C5ISR systems, design experiments and field tests; develop technical metrics and evaluation measures; ensure data collection for these metrics; and use experimental design techniques to optimize test conditions.
  4. Provide onsite asset configuration, data collection, data reduction, and analysis; verify instrumentation; perform quality assurance/control checks; and convert raw data into analysis formats.
  5. Conduct threat analyses with lab and field data; analyze system performance; translate results into real-world scenarios; and perform holistic analyses across multiple test events.
  6. Develop and improve data reduction tools; create web interfaces for data quality checks; develop databases; and enhance modeling tools for terrain, electromagnetic environment, and electronic warfare impacts.
  7. Coordinate with vendors and program managers to obtain communication and sensor systems; assess system performance; develop threats; and test against threats collecting performance metrics.
  8. Provide expertise to improve analysis methods and RF laboratory investigations; assist in proposing advanced techniques for anomaly detection in radio networks.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 10 years’ experience
  • Domain knowledge of U.S. Army C5ISR systems
  • Top Secret clearance required
