Job summary

Job Description: We are looking to add a Data Engineer to join our Information Technology team in West Des Moines, IA.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple sources using Azure Data Factory, Alteryx, Fabric, dbt, SQL, and other tools.
• Implement advanced data transformations, aggregations, and custom logic to meet business requirements.
• Contribute to data modeling efforts and recommend storage solutions to support analytical needs.
• Monitor pipelines, conduct root‑cause analysis for performance issues, and implement improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers on best practices in data extraction, transformation, and loading.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, technology, information systems, or engineering.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in data, analytics, or platform engineering.
• Experience building ETL/ELT workflows with dbt, Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong ability to work with diverse data sources (structured and unstructured) including delimited files, fixed‑width, databases, and blob storage.
• Knowledge of APIs or RPA for third‑party data collection; Salesforce experience is a plus.
• Experience with source control, cloud data storage, and platforms such as Snowflake or Azure.
• Strong business and technology knowledge, excellent problem‑solving skills, and ability to deliver effective technology solutions.
