Job summary

Job Description

The Data Engineer will design, develop, and deliver reliable, scalable data management (acquisition, integration, transformation) using DevOps methodologies and DA&I Microsoft PaaS platforms. The role involves enabling DA&I solutions and services across the company, delivering outcomes through analytics and decision intelligence, and supporting 24/7/365 coverage with evening and weekend support rotations.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and test new data management solutions, including supporting applications and interfaces.
• Architect data structures to provision and ensure Data as a Service.
• Support development activity in various DA&I and Connected Enterprise projects for internal and external customers.
• Develop and test infrastructure components in cloud and edge-level environments.
• Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities to adopt new technologies.
• Manage the DevOps pipeline deployment model.
• Implement software across all environments.
• Use containerization models and collaborate with other engineers and architects to keep architecture current.
• Help support and enhance applications.
• Write high-quality code compliant with regulations.
• Collaborate with business systems analysts and product owners to define requirements.
• Assist colleagues through change and support change management processes.
• Demonstrate understanding of multiple viewpoints and use business insights to propose solutions.
• Model standards of behavior per the Company Code of Conduct.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, management information systems, or a related field.
• Legal authorization to work in the US. Sponsorship for employment visas is not available.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in relevant areas.
• Experience in systems development lifecycle.
• Experience in data management concepts and implementations.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and system/process documentation.
• Experience with server-side architectures and containerization.
• Experience managing ServiceNow Queue, troubleshooting data integration failures, and engaging appropriate teams.
• Experience with SAP Data Service.
• Experience with Azure ADF, ADLS, SQL, Tabular models, or other domain-specific programming languages.
• Familiarity with business concepts and the effect of data on business processes.
