Job summary

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines within Adobe AEP and RTCDP.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale datasets.
• Design and maintain data models to enable analytics, segmentation, and activation.
• Work with AWS data services (S3, Redshift, Glue) to move data into AEP/RTCDP.
• Architect end-to-end solutions leveraging AEP components like XDM schemas and datasets.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and monitoring across systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Tune pipelines for real-time and batch workloads within RTCDP.
• Document data architecture, flows, and procedures.
• Support integrations with CRM, web/mobile, and MarTech platforms.
• Implement data processing, automation, validation, and orchestration logic.
• Follow security, privacy, and compliance best practices (PII, consent, identity resolution).

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with deep expertise in SQL, Python, and data modeling, and strong experience designing solutions within the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RTCDP) ecosystem. This role is critical to building scalable, reliable, and performant data pipelines that power customer analytics, personalization, and activation use cases.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical execution with thoughtful solution design, collaborating closely with analytics, marketing, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust data architectures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and curate data within Adobe AEP and RTCDP.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and data transformations for large-scale datasets.
• Design and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) that enable efficient analytics, segmentation, and activation use cases.
• Experience working with AWS data services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, and related tooling, including building and managing data pipelines from AWS-based source systems into Adobe AEP and RTCDP.
• Architect end-to-end solution designs leveraging AEP components such as XDM schemas, datasets, identities, profiles, and segmentation.
• Ensure high data quality, consistency, and governance across systems by implementing validation, monitoring, and error-handling mechanisms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and downstream consumers to understand requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
• Tune performance and optimize pipelines for real-time and batch workloads within RTCDP.
• Document data architecture, data flows, and operational procedures.
• Support integrations with upstream and downstream systems including CRM, web/mobile, and other MarTech and analytics platforms.
• Demonstrated experience implementing data processing, automation, validation, and orchestration logic.
• Follow best practices for security, privacy, and compliance (PII handling, consent, and identity resolution).

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Expert-level SQL skills, with experience writing and optimizing complex queries.
• Proven experience as a Data Modeler, including dimensional and analytical data modeling.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions in:
• Adobe Experience Platform (AEP)
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., "Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure, or AWS").
• Solid understanding of XDM schemas, datasets, identity stitching, profiles, and segmentation.
• Experience building batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with streaming or event-based data architectures.
• Experience with data orchestration tools and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of customer data, marketing technology, and personalization use cases.

The salary range for this opportunity is $120,000 - $150,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
