About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team remotely. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architecture to support our data analytics and decision-making processes. This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to ensure the availability, quality, and security of data across various platforms. The Data Engineer will be responsible for integrating data from multiple sources, optimizing database performance, and automating data workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or Scala programming languages.
• Experience with data pipeline, ETL, and workflow management tools such as Databricks and Data Factory.
• Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, and data integration processes.
• Experience with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with cloud data technologies and DevOps practices (e.g., Azure, Terraform, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of data governance, security best practices, and SDLC/Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Qlik.
• Preferred certifications in cloud data platforms or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines to handle large volumes of data from diverse sources.
• Integrate data across multiple platforms, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and security.
• Develop and optimize data models, schemas, and databases to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Manage and monitor database performance, availability, and security measures.
• Implement data quality checks and troubleshoot data-related issues to ensure integrity and completeness.
• Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Document data workflows, models, and integration processes clearly and comprehensively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Participate in Agile development cycles, including creating user stories, peer reviews, and testing.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage external collaborations, including creating Statements of Work (SOWs) and work packets.
