Job summary

Harnham is undergoing a large-scale data modernization initiative to build the next generation of its cloud data ecosystem. The role focuses on data ingestion, transformation, platform scalability, and cloud architecture, with ownership and impact across the organization.

You’ll join a small, highly collaborative engineering team responsible for the data foundation powering reporting, analytics, operational insights, and future AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Data Engineering or related roles.
• Experience building scalable data pipelines.
• Proficiency with Snowflake, Databricks or similar warehousing.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience on Azure or comparable cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with data quality, monitoring, and operations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.
• Passion for data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Build and support scalable data pipelines that move data from various source systems into a cloud data platform
• Develop data integration and transformation workflows using Python and SQL
• Create reliable, high-quality datasets that enable analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives
• Monitor and improve data quality, performance, and reliability across the platform
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, data inconsistencies, and operational issues
• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to ensure trusted, usable data is available downstream
• Help establish best practices around DataOps, automation, observability, and platform governance
• Support ongoing cloud modernization and migration initiatives
• Contribute to architectural decisions and continuous platform improvements

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or similar roles
• Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines
• Hands-on expertise with Snowflake, Databricks, or modern cloud data warehouse technologies
• Advanced SQL skills and strong proficiency in Python
• Experience working within Azure or comparable cloud platforms
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data warehousing concepts
• Experience managing data quality, monitoring, and operational support
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with significant ownership and accountability
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Passion for building solutions that enable data-driven decision making
