About The Role

As a Data Engineer on Huron’s Insights Platform team, you will be instrumental in building and enhancing a suite of healthcare analytics applications. You'll collaborate with engineers, product leaders, and data experts to develop new features, ensure system reliability, and deliver insightful analytics capabilities to clients. This is a full-time, remote position available anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Design and estimate technical solutions and application changes
• Develop, test, and deploy code for web applications and services
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix software issues
• Recommend improvements to enhance platform performance and usability
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to meet business goals
• Document system architecture and development workflows
• Provide technical support and training for internal stakeholders
• Contribute to capability roadmaps and project planning
• Stay current with industry best practices and healthcare data standards

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5 years of experience in software engineering
• Strong experience in Python and SQL
• Professional experience with AWS services including Redshift, Lambda, EC2, S3, and VPC
• Experience with Boto3, AWS CLI, and UNIX-based systems (Linux, Ubuntu)
• Knowledge of web server technologies (Apache, Nginx)
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and core internet protocols
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Self-driven, with the ability to work independently in a remote setup

Preferred

• Experience with PostgreSQL and DBT
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation
• Experience with healthcare data and standards (EDI, FHIR)
• Background in analytics-driven application development
• Remote work flexibility
• Total compensation range (with bonus): $89,600–$141,600
• Eligibility for Huron’s incentive compensation and benefits program
