Summary:

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our analytics team and play a pivotal role in scaling our data infrastructure, optimizing analytics workflows, and driving business success. This position demands a balance of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for building efficient, scalable solutions to support business-critical operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Build and Maintain Data Pipelines: Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT processes to integrate diverse data sources into accessible and reliable datasets.
  2. Data Infrastructure Management: Develop and manage cloud-based data warehouses, ensuring efficiency, security, and scalability.
  3. Support Analytics & Insights: Collaborate with analysts and business teams to provide clean, actionable data for reporting and decision-making.
  4. Process Optimization: Implement tools and workflows to improve data accessibility, accuracy, and quality.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across operations, product, and leadership teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored data solutions.
  6. Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues while identifying opportunities to improve system performance.

Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills and Experience:
  1. 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  2. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) or AWS Redshift.
  3. Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., DBT, Apache Airflow, or similar).
  4. Strong understanding of database structures, data modeling, and optimization techniques.
  5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  1. Experience in the insurance or healthcare sector with knowledge of claims or member data.
  2. Familiarity with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Omni BI.
  3. Knowledge of data governance and compliance best practices.
  4. A strong desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative and innovative culture.
