Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data engineer to independently develop, test, and deploy data pipelines and transformations using Snowflake, Coalesce, Fivetran, and AWS services. The role emphasizes ELT with Snowflake-First principles and building analytics-ready datasets.

You will ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, and automated testing, collaborating with Data Architects to align designs with platform standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Data/IS or related field
• 2–4 years of data engineering experience
• Strong SQL proficiency with complex queries and performance tuning
• Experience with Snowflake or equivalent cloud data warehouse
• Familiarity with Coalesce, dbt, Fivetran, or similar ELT tools
• Working knowledge of AWS data services (S3, Glue, Lambda)
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy data pipelines and transformations using Snowflake and AWS services.
• Implement ELT processes per DTS Extract-Load-Transform architecture.
• Build Snowflake-native transformations, data marts, and analytics-ready datasets.
• Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, testing, and alerting.
• Collaborate with Data Architects to align designs with platform standards.
• Document pipelines with data flow diagrams and maps in Confluence.
• Support legacy MS SQL Server/SSIS during migration and reroute reports to Snowflake.
• Participate in on-call rotation for data platform operations.
• Follow DTS ACUMEN onboarding standards when integrating new data sources.
