Job summary

Amoha Recruitment Services LLP is actively building a talent pipeline for data engineering opportunities across technology, finance, healthcare, and SaaS in the United States. This entry‑level to early‑career Data Engineer role focuses on designing and maintaining scalable pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integrations across sources and cloud platforms.

You’ll work with SQL, Python or Java, participate in Agile processes, and collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, Software Eng or related field.
• 0–3 years of data engineering experience (professional, internship, academic, or hands-on).
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python/Java/Scala).
• Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline development.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Git and version-control workflows.
• Basic cloud computing knowledge and data services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data-processing workflows.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to collect, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
• Develop data integrations using APIs, databases, files, and cloud data services.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to store, process, and manage large datasets.
• Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
• Develop data-processing solutions using Python, SQL, Java, or similar languages.
• Support data warehouse and data lake implementations.
• Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data quality and performance issues.
• Implement data validation, quality checks, and monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and business teams to support data requirements.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD workflows.
• Work with cloud platforms and modern data engineering technologies to support scalable data solutions.
