Job summary

Aaratech Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines on cloud platforms. You will develop ETL/ELT workflows, bring data together from multiple systems, and help keep the data that powers reporting and analytics accurate and reliable.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience, on-site or hybrid work arrangements, and US work authorization. You will write SQL and Python to transform data, collaborate with analysts, and document pipelines for reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2+ years working with data — ETL development, data integration, SQL development, or database work.
• Good SQL skills with joins, aggregations, and real-world data queries.
• Experience with at least one ETL tool (Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, etc.).
• Basic familiarity with data warehouse concepts.
• Some Python scripting exposure, or a strong desire to learn it.
• Clear communicator and reliable problem-solver.

What You Will Do

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or AWS Glue.
• Pull data together from multiple sources — databases, files, APIs — into clean, usable datasets.
• Write SQL to transform, join, and validate data.
• Use Python scripts to automate routine data tasks.
• Monitor pipelines and help troubleshoot issues when data does not land as expected.
• Work with analysts and business teams to understand what data they need and deliver it.
• Document your pipelines so others can understand and maintain them.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2+ years working with data — ETL development, data integration, SQL development, or database work all count.
• Good SQL skills: comfortable with joins, aggregations, and writing queries against real-world data.
• Experience with at least one ETL tool (Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, or similar).
• Basic familiarity with data warehouse concepts (tables, schemas, fact/dimension basics).
• Some Python scripting exposure, or a strong desire to learn it.
• Clear communicator and reliable problem-solver.

Tools You Will Work With

• Cloud: Azure (Data Factory, Synapse) or AWS (Glue, Redshift) — experience with either is fine.
• Databases & warehouses: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Languages: SQL and Python.
• Reporting tools your data will feed: Power BI or Tableau.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Any exposure to dbt, Airflow, or Databricks notebooks.
• Awareness of CI/CD or basic DevOps concepts.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), AWS Data Engineer Associate, or SnowPro Core — helpful but not required.
