Job summary

Harnham is seeking a data engineer in Redwood City to build and scale data pipelines across manufacturing, supply chain, permitting, and site installation. You will join as the second data hire in Revenue Operations, partnering with the lead Analytics Engineer to empower factories and field teams with reliable data.

The role focuses on maintaining ETL pipelines, collaborating with stakeholders, and integrating systems like NetSuite and Autodesk. Strong SQL and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Expert SQL skills and proven experience owning and operating production data pipelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication: ability to break down complex data problems for non-technical stakeholders and advocate for data hygiene.
• Track record: experience owning broad, varied problems and at least 1+ years at a previous role.

Responsibilities

• Own the Flow (65% Coding & Pipeline Management): Maintain ~20 existing data pipelines and build new, resilient ETL/ELT pipelines as manufacturing ramps up.
• Partner with the Business (35% Stakeholder Interaction): Work with supply chain, manufacturing, and operations leaders to translate complex processes into clean data.
• Integrate Key Systems: Drive source-system accuracy across the software ecosystem (NetSuite, Autodesk, site PM tools) for real-time visibility into inventory and production.
• Unlock External Insights: Ingest publicly available regional housing and land data to guide strategic development decisions.

You will join as the second data hire, working directly alongside the lead Analytics Engineer within the Revenue Operations organization.

The company's operations generate massive datasets across manufacturing, supply chain, permitting, and site installation. Your core mission will be building, maintaining, and scaling the data pipelines that keep headquarters, factories, and field operations fully aligned.

What You’ll Do

Must-Haves

• Track Record: Experience owning broad, varied problems (rather than a narrow niche on a massive team) and at least 1+ years at a previous role.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with NetSuite (or other enterprise ERPs) and transactional/design database structures.
• Familiarity with Python, dbt, Spark, Databricks, or TypeScript.
• A public GitHub profile showcasing API ingestion or real-world data pipelines.
