Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a talented Database Analytic Engineer (Snowflake & DBT) on behalf of our client, a forward-thinking healthcare analytics organization dedicated to driving value-based care outcomes.

In this impactful role, youll own the architecture and optimization of the companys data lake and performance analytics platform, directly supporting mission-critical healthcare reporting and insights.

This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity that is fully remote, with a strong preference for candidates who can align to Arizona business hours (8 AM5 PM AZ time).

What You Will Be Doing:

• Leading the management of Snowflake data lakes including ingestion, transformation, and optimization.
• Designing and maintaining modular DBT models using SQL and Jinja in support of complex healthcare datasets.
• Chairing the Data Governance Committee to ensure HIPAA compliance and data integrity across systems.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with analytics teams, payers, and health center partners to build actionable data pipelines.
• Implementing CI/CD workflows and Git-based version control for DBT development.
• Managing structured and semi-structured data formats (JSON, ORC, Parquet).
• Contributing to the integration of Generative AI/LLMs, including RAG and text-to-SQL functionality.
• Administering data access, security, and vendor network interfaces via SQL and REST APIs.
  
  

What You Will Need:

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics roles, ideally in the healthcare space.
• Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT (SQL + Jinja).
• Strong understanding of data governance, security protocols, and HIPAA compliance.
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, and ELT pipeline development.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with tools such as Airflow, Fivetran, Looker, or Tableau is a plus.
• Python or scripting skills for automation and orchestration are a strong plus.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
