Job summary

Blutic is seeking a Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience in ETL, database design and reporting development. The role focuses on building scalable real-time and batch pipelines for OTC derivatives data, onboarding datasets, and developing regulatory and business reports using SQL, Python, Snowflake, DB2, and tools like Business Objects or Tableau.

This is a W2 hybrid opportunity in New York.

Experience with data governance, CI/CD and data security is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in ETL and reporting development.
• 5+ years SQL experience and writing stored procedures.
• Experience with Snowflake and DB2 databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/GCP/AWS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable ETL pipelines for OTC derivatives data.
• Develop and optimize database objects and batch processes for ETL workflows and reporting.
• Design data models, SQL views, and stored procedures for ETL and regulatory reporting.
• Build real-time and batch pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, reconciliation and provisioning.
• Support data migration and onboarding with validation routines and cutover processes.
• Develop, automate and support regulatory and business reports using Python and SQL in enterprise reporting platforms like Business Objects and Tableau.
• Write complex SQL queries and reusable reporting logic for business users and regulatory consumers.
• Ensure data controls, access governance and quality checks across ETL pipelines and databases.
• Participate in Agile delivery and CI/CD practices for ETL jobs and reporting workflows.
• Provide production support for ETL and reporting processes including monitoring and root-cause analysis.

The role focuses on designing and building scalable real-time/batch pipelines for OTC derivatives data, migrating/onboarding datasets, and developing regulatory and business reports using SQL, Python, Snowflake, DB2, and tools like Business Objects or Tableau. Key qualifications include strong experience with data reconciliation, data modeling, Agile/DevOps CI/CD practices, and enforcing strict data security, governance, and privacy standards (GDPR/CCPA).

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable ETL pipelines to ingest, transform and load large volumes of OTC derivatives data for downstream reporting and analytics.
• Develop and optimize database objects, stored procedures and batch processes that support ETL workflows, report generation and data delivery.
• Design data models, schemas, SQL views and stored procedures to support efficient ETL processing and regulatory, operational and business reporting.
• Build and maintain real-time and batch ETL pipelines for trade and confirmation data ingestion, transformation, reconciliation and report-ready data provisioning.
• Support data migration and onboarding activities by building validation routines, reconciliation checks and ETL cutover processes to ensure reporting continuity.
• Develop, automate and support regulatory and business reports using Python, SQL stored procedures and enterprise reporting platforms such as Business Objects and Tableau.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and reusable reporting logic to generate accurate, timely outputs for business users and regulatory consumers.
• Ensure strong data controls, access governance and quality checks across ETL pipelines, reporting datasets and database environments.
• Participate in Agile delivery and contribute to automation, scheduling and CI/CD practices for ETL jobs, reporting workflows and production deployments.
• Provide production support for ETL and reporting processes, including job monitoring, issue triage, data reconciliation and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in ETL and reporting development
• 5+ years of experience with SQL and writing stored procedures
• 5+ years of experience building ETL pipelines
• 5+ years of experience in Snowflake and DB2 databases.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for reporting and data analysis
• Have Worked in Agile, DevOps and Git
• 3-5 years of experience with Python for ETL and report generation
• Perform of data validation and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of reporting tools such as Business Objects or Tableau is good to have.
• Experience in cloud platforms (Azure/GCP/AWS) good to have
