Job summary

SIMARN Solutions is seeking an experienced GCP Data Lead / Data Engineer in Nashville to design and deliver scalable cloud data pipelines. You will work with BigQuery, Dataflow, Python, and MS SQL Server to build enterprise-grade data solutions and optimize data processing workflows.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with Dataflow and Python.
• Develop and optimize BigQuery datasets, tables, and partitioning.
• Write complex MS SQL Server queries and procedures.
• Migrate on-prem data into GCP and integrate source systems.
• Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, and error handling.
• Work with GCS, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer/Airflow.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize large data workloads.
• Build reusable Python components for ingestion and transformation.
• Collaborate with architects, stakeholders, and analysts.

We are looking for an experienced GCP Data Lead / GCP Data Engineer with strong expertise in GCP Data Engineering, MS SQL Server, Python, BigQuery, and Dataflow. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience designing and developing scalable cloud‑based data pipelines and supporting enterprise data and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP Dataflow and Python.
• Develop and optimize BigQuery datasets, tables, views, partitioning, and clustering strategies.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objects in MS SQL Server.
• Migrate and integrate data from on‑premises databases and other source systems into Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Implement data quality, validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and error‑handling frameworks.
• Work with GCS, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer/Airflow for end‑to‑end data processing.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize large‑scale data workloads.
• Build reusable Python components for data ingestion, transformation, and automation.
• Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and data analysts to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Ensure appropriate data security, governance, and compliance standards.

Required Skills

• Strong GCP Data Engineering experience
• Strong MS SQL Server skills – SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions & Performance Tuning
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation
• Hands‑on experience with Google BigQuery
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Dataflow / Apache Beam
• Experience with Google Cloud Storage (GCS)
• Knowledge of Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer/Airflow, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, Data Warehousing, and Data Modeling
• Experience with Git/source control
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
