Job Title: Data Engineer Automotive Industry Preferred (W2 Only)
Location: Remote (Virtual Interview)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a forward-thinking team building scalable, high-performance data solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in big data technologies and a passion for delivering clean, maintainable, and production-grade data pipelines.

Candidates with experience in the automobile industry or Ex-Gen professionals will be given first priority.

This is a W2 referral-only opportunity. Contracting and C2C arrangements are not accepted.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, maintainable data pipelines to support business intelligence and advanced analytics

• Automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and re-engineer infrastructure for scalability and performance

• Collaborate closely with data scientists, architects, and developers to design elegant and efficient data solutions

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation for high-quality software delivery

• Develop reusable tools and automation for deployment, monitoring, and data quality assurance

• Support and resolve production issues related to data platforms in collaboration with operations teams

• Contribute to solution design with a long-term vision of scalability, governance, and innovation

• Ensure solutions meet business SLA requirements and integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources

• Apply agile methodologies and continuous delivery practices for faster innovation cycles

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

• 5 to 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer in data-focused roles

• Strong background in computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and software design

• Proven experience designing and developing large-scale data systems and integration pipelines

• Solid troubleshooting, unit testing, and debugging skills with both legacy and modern systems

Technical Skills

Required:

• Expertise in Azure and Databricks

• Proficiency in Scala, Spark, Python, SQL

• Strong experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL

• Experience in ETL development with SSIS and handling complex, large-volume data

• REST API development and integration

Preferred:

• Experience with .NET, Angular

• Background in Power BI or other BI tools

• Automotive industry experience strongly preferred

• Familiarity with continuous deployment and agile development practices
