Job summary

Fidelity & Guaranty Life Business Services is seeking aData Engineer to support sourcing, transformation, ingestion, and analysis of data. You will develop ETL logic with Informatica IDMC, Control-M, and Snowflake for current and future deployments.

The role requires strong data analysis, SQL ability, and experience with ETL tools in a financial services environment. Hybrid/remote work options are available with flexible schedules and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology, engineering, or math.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with data structures and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Informatica Data Management Cloud).
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Snowflake.
• Experience writing SQL queries and interpreting data models.
• Experience with database modeling.
• Experience in financial services or insurance industry.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Data Engineer will support the sourcing, transformation, ingestion, and analysis of data and develop ETL logic utilizing Informatica (IDMC), Control-M, and Snowflake to support existing and future deployments.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Leverage Control-M to develop automated workflows that triggers processes, moves files, and ingests data in conjunction with other tools
• Develop robust data products and processes within Snowflake
• Support the sourcing, transformation, and analysis of data
• Develop ETL logic utilizing Informatica Data Management Cloud to support existing and future deployments
• Execute technical aspects of data management functions including creating, loading, transforming, cleansing, processing, analyzing, and visualizing data
• Assist teammates and business partners with building technical solutions that solve problems, are reusable, scalable, fast, and maintainable through large datasets, both clean and un-clean
• Work with multiple development technologies including SQL
• Learn new and existing tools, resources, and processes
• Assist in the implementation of architecture and solutions
• Develop and deliver code to support existing and future deployments
• Supervisory Responsibilities: This role does not have formal people leadership responsibilities but may provide guidance, mentorship, or subject matter expertise to others.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree with emphasis in technology, engineering, or math
• Combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree. 2+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience working with data structures and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Informatica Data Management Cloud)
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Snowflake
• Experience writing SQL queries and interpreting data models
• Experience with database modeling
• Experience in financial services or insurance industry
