Job summary

fdc, a high-growth consumer tech startup in the US furniture space, is seeking a Data Engineer to join our data platform team in Atlanta. You will build scalable ETL pipelines to transform data from disparate sources into canonical data stores and collaborate with senior engineers to optimize data workflows.

You will operate current data ingest services while designing the next generation of ETL tooling, leveraging AWS, Python and SQL to power analytics, dashboards, and forecasting for business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS or related field required.
• 3+ years of data engineering experience on large-scale ETL systems.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with AWS experience.
• Experience with Databricks, Informatica, Talend, Airflow or Kafka.
• Experience collaborating with data scientists and analysts on forecasting, dashboards, reports.

What you will do:

• Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to transform data from disparate data sources into canonical data stores
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop efficient data pipelines and other ETL solutions
• Operate current data ingest services while building the next generation of ETL pipelines

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years as a Data Engineer working on large scale ETL systems
• AWS experience developing Integrations and analytical services
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with one or more commercial or open-source technologies like Databricks, Informatica, Talend, Airflow, Kafka is essential
• Experience collaborating with data scientists and data analyst on projects related to forecasting, dashboards, reporting etc.
• Experience with building Dashboards with data visualization technologies like Power BI, Tableau etc. is a plus
• Able to communicate effectively with a technical and non-technical audience
