Job summary

Slalom in Atlanta, GA is hiring a Data Engineer for its Google Center of Excellence to design, build, and modernize enterprise data platforms on Google Cloud in a hybrid, in-person-friendly environment.

You will deliver batch and real-time pipelines using BigQuery, Dataplex, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, Looker, and other GCP services, while collaborating with clients and Slalom teams.

Qualifications

Experience with Big Data platforms, including Dataproc and Apache Spark.
Experience with Google BigQuery, BigLake, and Cloud SQL.
Proficiency with Python, Java, and SQL.
Experience with Firestore, Bigtable, Spanner, and MongoDB.
Familiarity with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Run.
Knowledge of Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and Apache Kafka.
Experience with Managed Airflow and dbt, along with Dataplex.
Be within commutable distance to one of Slalom’s listed office locations.
Work in a hybrid environment with expectation of in-person time with Slalom teams and clients as needed.

Compensation

Base salary: $100,000 - $115,000 per year (Consultant), depending on experience.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
