Job summary

Slalom is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer/Architect to own and modernize enterprise data pipelines in a cloud environment. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot data workflows end-to-end with AI-enabled tools and strong production support.

Responsibilities include building ETL/ELT pipelines, Informatica-based integrations, scalable data models, and CI/CD practices. On-call rotation and collaboration across teams are expected for reliable pipeline operations.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language.
• Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica (PowerCenter, IICS, or similar).
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
• Familiarity with Airflow or comparable orchestration tools.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.

Job description

Slalom is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer/Architect to support and modernize enterprise data pipelines in a cloud environment. The role focuses on end-to-end ownership of data workflow design, development, troubleshooting, and production enhancement, with support from AI-enabled engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Develop and support Informatica-based data integration workflows.
• Design scalable data solutions and data models.
• Troubleshoot production issues and help ensure pipeline reliability.
• Use AI-enabled tools to accelerate development, testing, and support activities.
• Follow CI/CD, version control, and engineering best practices.
• Participate in a light on-call rotation for Sev 2+ pipeline incidents (approximately once every 5 to 6 weeks).

Compensation

The targeted hourly pay range is $60/hr to $90/hr. Actual compensation will depend on an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
