Job summary

Warfighter AI, LLC in the National Capital Region seeks a Senior Software/Data Engineer to design, build, and harden APIs, MCP integrations, and agent tools. You’ll enable reliable operation in demanding environments where nothing is ever 100% guaranteed.

Ideal candidates hold TS/SCI clearance, thrive in hybrid work, and can scale production systems for warfighters. This role combines software and data engineering to deliver mission-relevant capabilities.

Warfighter AI is hiring a Senior Software/Data Engineer — hybrid, National Capital Region.

You’ll be building and hardening the APIs, MCP integrations, and agent tools/skills that let AI systems operate reliably in environments where "it mostly works" isn't good enough.

What you’ll touch:

• API design and integration at production scale
• MCP server/tool development for agentic systems
• Agent skill architecture — the stuff that turns a model into something operators can trust
• Data engineering that feeds decisions, not dashboards

Requirements:

• Hybrid, NCR
• Active TS/SCI clearance (non-negotiable)

$175K–$225K
