City Electric Supply (CES) is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with exceptional Excel skills to support core accounting functions and financial reporting. Qualifications

• Proven ability to build and maintain complex Excel models for reporting and forecasting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends and variances.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries; maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial data using advanced Excel models and formulas.
• Develop and improve complex Excel spreadsheets for reporting and forecasting.
• Use pivot tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, nested formulas, and conditional formatting daily.
• Prepare supporting schedules for audits and internal reviews.
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy.
• Support ad hoc financial and operational analysis projects.
