Job summary

City Electric Supply is seeking an entry-level Core Product Data team member to collect, transform, and load data into the STEP MDM system. You will work under supervision and follow departmental data governance guidelines as you help enrich core product information.

You will prepare source data, transform formats, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accuracy across multiple systems while collaborating with teammates.

• Verifies entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data
• Maintains accuracy and data integrity per governance policies
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Interacts with team on matters affecting data and suggests process improvements
• Works independently while coordinating with coworkers and supervisors
• Ability to develop positive relationships with internal and external departments
• Ability to work overtime if necessary

Summary

Core Product data team member who collects, transforms, and loads data into our MDM system, STEP, to enrich the company’s core product information. At the entry level you work under supervision while adhering to the departmental data governance guidelines.

Essential Job Functions

• Prepares source data for entry by gathering and sorting information and establishing entry priorities.


• Transforms source documents into input formats by reviewing data for deficiencies.


• Resolves discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.


• Enters data by manual data entry or by batch loads from input source.


• Verifies entered data, by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data, combining data from multiple systems or sources when appropriate while following established departmental procedures.


• Maintains accuracy and data integrity by following data governance policies and procedures.


• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


• Interacts with team on matters affecting data and contributes to discussions regarding improvement or enhancement to job processes.


• Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees.


• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with coworkers and supervisors, internal and external departments.
