Job summary

Lake Tahoe Community College seeks a Research Analyst for Institutional Effectiveness to conduct data collection and analysis, design reports, and support accreditation, planning, and assessment efforts. The position involves developing complex tables and dashboards, querying databases, and collaborating with faculty and staff to support grant and compliance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in statistics, mathematics, or economics and three years of relevant experience with research and analysis activities.
• Knowledge of relational databases and data analysis and reporting software such as Tableau, SPSS, SAS, SAP Business Objects; programming with SQL, R, Python.
• Ability to use data visualization tools and survey software (Qualtrics, Microsoft Forms) for data collection and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and evaluate data; provide data-driven recommendations and maintain data files and datasets.
• Design and conduct statistical analyses using multiple software applications including graphics, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Prepare data summaries and reports for college personnel and state/federal agencies to fulfill compliance requirements.
• Design and implement all phases of research studies from data collection to presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Refresh Tableau dashboards, update IE webpages, and provide training on IE-generated reports and visualizations.
