Job summary

Qualifications

• Ph.D. by time of appointment; postdoctoral experience preferred.
• Excellence in undergraduate teaching and ability to mentor undergraduates.
• Preference for data-intensive, computational, and AI-enabled research.
• Ability to secure external funding and develop computing/data science courses.
• Interest in General Education contributions and mentoring undergraduates.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate physics and/or astronomy courses and labs.
• Establish an active, externally visible undergraduate research program.
• Develop innovative curriculum including data science and AI topics.
• Engage in service at department, college, and university levels.
