Job summary

POWER CENTER ACADEMY MIDDLE - SOUTHEAST is seeking a Guidance Counselor to lead a comprehensive counseling program addressing academic, career, and personal/social development for all scholars. You will develop curricula, align with school leadership, and report progress to stakeholders.

Requirements include a minimum bachelor’s degree in counseling (masters preferred) and at least 1 year of counseling experience, with strong analytic, organizational, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• The role requires a minimum Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in counseling.
• Experience in counseling and data-informed program planning.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present data to leadership.
• Knowledge of Memphis community is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the school counseling curriculum with leadership.
• Adhere to federal, state and school guidelines for counseling.
• Provide reporting to stakeholders on goals and effectiveness of the program.
• Collect and analyze data to guide program direction.
• Monitor student performance and coordinate interventions.
• Advocate for students and collaborate with families.
