Job summary

POWER CENTER ACADEMY ELEMENTARY - SOUTHEAST in Memphis, TN seeks a full-time Guidance Counselor to promote student success by developing and managing a comprehensive school counseling program addressing academic, career, and personal/social development for all students.

Minimum Bachelor's degree in counseling; a Master's preferred.
At least 1 year of effective counseling experience.
Strong analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement the counseling curriculum at the assigned location in alignment with academic leadership.
Adhere to all federal, state, and school guidelines for counseling and administration.
Provide regular reporting and updates to stakeholders on goals and effectiveness of the program.
Collect and analyze data to guide program direction.
Monitor student performance, behavior, and attendance and facilitate interventions.
Interpret academic data to ensure scholars, parents, and staff receive guidance.
Assist with PowerSchool/EIS management responsibilities as needed.
Advocate for students and families and protect scholar well-being.
Guide students through educational, personal, social, and career planning.
Participate in intervention team processes as required.
