Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Manager, Merchandising Planning to lead category-level forecasting and strategic planning across multiple channels. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial targets, improve forecasting accuracy, and drive vendor negotiations while guiding a high-performing team.

The role focuses on optimizing inventory, budgeting processes, and executing strategic initiatives to enhance category performance in line with business objectives and priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field and 4 years’ experience in retail, merchandising, forecasting, or related area.
• OR 6 years’ experience in retail, merchandising, forecasting, or related area.
• Preferred Qualifications: Negotiating terms and costing, Profit and Loss (P&L) Responsibility, Retail Link, Supervisory

Responsibilities

• Lead category-level forecasting and strategic planning across channels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial targets, inventory planning and promotional activities.
• Drive category-level assortment and feature planning and support vendor negotiations with financial inputs.
• Own and update sales and inventory forecasts, incorporating demand trends and market intelligence.
• Lead strategic initiatives and mentor team members to ensure execution of business plans.
