Job summary

Achievement Prep Middle School is seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher for Math to help close the achievement gap. You will teach two groups daily, implement a research-based curriculum, and personalize instruction for scholars with IEPs.

Reporting to the Instructional Coach, you will use data to drive mastery, collaborate with SPED teachers, engage families, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Teaching license or Praxis scores (if not an education major).
• 2+ years of K-12 teaching experience.
• Experience in underserved communities.

Responsibilities

• Teach Math to two groups of scholars daily.
• Implement a research-based curriculum.
• Personalize instruction for scholars with IEPs.
• Create assessments and use data to ensure mastery of standards.
• Collaborate with peers to set data-driven academic goals.
• Foster a joyful, consistent classroom culture.
• Collaborate and co-teach with SPED teachers.
• Engage scholars and families to build trust.
• Support family events and communicate scholar progress.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
• Assume additional responsibilities to fulfill the mission.
