Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Basic chemical laboratory operation knowledge and EH&S awareness; follow SOPs.
• Strong multitasking, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Effective collaboration with the local work team and safety-focused mindset.
• Willing and able to wear PPE (goggles, lab coat, dust mask, safety shoes) and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of lab equipment and methods (e.g., chromatography, titration).
• Manage and execute lab work requests; maintain and run equipment; document data.
• Record readings accurately; prepare data tables and charts for studies.
• Independently interpret data and communicate unexpected results to the team.
• Calibrate/standardize, operate safely, and maintain instruments; troubleshoot issues.
• Suggest procedural improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, or performance.
• Communicate issues to lab owner promptly to aid resolution.
• Participate in team meetings addressing safety and process improvements.
• Maintain EH&S compliance within the team and manage inventories of consumables.
• Maintain inventories of chemicals and supplies.
