Job summary

K12, a Stride Company, seeks a full-time High School Guidance Counselor for Ohio Digital Learning School (ODLS). The role centers on preventive services, academic planning, and college and career readiness, including ILP development and data-driven interventions to support student success.

Candidates must hold Ohio state certification for School Counselor and a Master’s in school counseling. Distance learning experience and customer-service background are preferred; a professional home office

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree AND Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master's degree in school counseling required.
Ohio state certification for a School Counselor.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review transcripts and academic documents for new/returning students.
Develop a four-year ILP with teaching staff for each student.
Analyze data and create data-driven intervention plans.
Provide academic and personal counseling to individuals or groups.
Guide students toward postsecondary goals and college readiness.
Assist with AP/technical course recommendations to challenge students.
Focus on college and career readiness with families.
Audit schedules for graduation candidacy per policies.
