Job summary

Schreiber Foods, Inc. in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize cream cheese and yogurt production, driving yield, waste reduction, and cycle-time improvements while maintaining strict food safety standards.

You will work with Operations Excellence, Data Science, and Maintenance teams to implement data-driven process improvements, lead new equipment installations, and apply FMEA, SPC, and reliability practices across production lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3 years experience in food manufacturing or packaging environments.
• Experience with tray packaging machines and box forming/filling equipment.
• Experience with FDA regulated manufacturing and HACCP/GMP.
• Project management and cross-functional coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and optimize cream cheese and yogurt manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and cost savings.
• Design and implement yield improvements, waste reduction, throughput increases, and cycle-time reductions.
• Collaborate with Operations Excellence and Data Science for data-driven process optimization.
• Lead equipment installations, commissioning, and predictive maintenance initiatives.
• Conduct FMEA, SPC, and process capability studies; develop monitoring and GR&R plans.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology

3 years experience in manufacturing/engineering
