Job summary

KIPP Indy Public Schools is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to drive outreach across the Martindale-Brightwood community and partner with schools.

Starting salary is $50,000 with competitive benefits; you will build programs, track engagement data, and support families to improve student outcomes.

This role emphasizes collaboration, anti-racist practices, and effective use of spreadsheets and databases to inform decisions.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in education, community engagement, program management, operations, customer/client success, or related role requiring relationship management and data analysis.
• Deep belief in being part of and helping lead a multi-cultural, anti-racist organization.
• Oral and written proficiency in Spanish preferred.
• Highly organized, resourceful, and accountable with strong attention to follow through.

Responsibilities

• Execute KIPP Indy’s family engagement launch and outreach plan.
• Collaborate with KIPP Indy regional and school leadership to develop a schedule of family programs, events, and services that directly support student success.
• Proactively build relationships and engage families and community members to attend neighborhood and KIPP Indy events.
• Coordinate family workshops and meetings that respond to identified family needs, strengthen families’ understanding of school systems and academic information, and support meaningful family participation.
• Maintain records of family engagement using KIPP Indy systems and technology.
• Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and inform leadership actions.
