Job summary

The City of Lampasas is currently accepting applications for the position of Economic Development Specialist. The role provides administrative, technical and research support to the Executive Director/City Manager and ED staff, helping to maintain efficient operations, manage data systems and guide business attraction, retention and redevelopment efforts.

Salary range is $22.035 to $30.849/hour, DOQ, plus excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience.
• 2–4 years in economic development, data analysis, research or related administrative work.
• Ability to pass a physical and drug screen; valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, technical and research support to the Executive Director/City Manager and staff.
• Maintain efficient operations and manage data systems for strategic initiatives.
• Assist with departmental purchasing, invoicing and vendor procurement.
• Serve as the primary administrator of the department’s economic development database.
