Job summary

StarTech.com is seeking a Customs and Trade Analyst to transform complex data into actionable insights that strengthen compliance, reduce costs, and improve supply-chain performance. This hybrid role is based in Groveport, Ohio, with 3 days on-site.

You will analyze duties, tariffs, landed costs, and trade programs, develop dashboards, and provide cross‑functional recommendations to Finance, Sourcing, Operations, and Legal. Three to five years of analytics experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Economics, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Three to five years of experience in data analytics, supply‑chain analytics, trade compliance, logistics, or related analytical role.
• Experience with large datasets and developing reporting solutions that inform operational or financial decisions.
• Proficiency with analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel, or equivalent platforms.
• Working knowledge of supply‑chain operations, logistics, customs, and trade‑compliance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze duty, tariff, landed‑cost, and trade‑program data to uncover cost‑saving opportunities and inform sourcing decisions.
• Partner with Global Sourcing to evaluate customs, tariff, and landed‑cost implications of business decisions.
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to improve visibility across compliance and supply chain.
• Validate large datasets, identify trends and anomalies, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Conduct trade‑compliance audits and monitor tariff classification accuracy to identify risks and improvements.
• Support evaluation of duty drawback, first‑sale valuation, and FTZ operations where applicable.
• Collaborate with Finance, Logistics, Sourcing, Operations, Legal, and Compliance to meet objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate complex findings clearly to stakeholders without specialized knowledge.
