Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Compliance Data and Reporting Analyst to join the Corporate Compliance team. You will design data recording systems, maintain databases, and generate dashboards to inform compliance and privacy reporting.

The role supports privacy initiatives and coordinates system-wide projects, working closely with Information Security and others. Ideal candidates will have strong data analytics skills, experience with SQL and Excel, and knowledge of Tableau or Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years as a data analyst, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience with SQL and Excel to create pivot tables, graphs, and charts.
• Knowledge of Tableau and/or Power BI for dashboards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• CHC certification within 12 months of hire.
• Experience with privacy software (NAVEX, Imprivata) and EHR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design business analysis and data recording systems for use throughout the department.
• Maintain databases and perform updates as necessary to ensure accuracy.
• Track and identify trends in reported compliance issues and inquiries.
• Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout.
• Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports.
• Create business reports and dashboards that provide insight into key data points.
• Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managers.
• Assist the Team with the maintenance of electronic data management systems in use in the Department, including NAVEX, Imprivata, MDaudit, COI-Smart, Intelligent Contracts.
• Assist the Privacy team with coordinating privacy programs through reporting trends, metrics and dashboards.
• Coordinate system-wide privacy and compliance projects with other teams to implement process or system changes.
• Collect and analyze privacy program data and develop standard and ad hoc reports.
• Support privacy initiatives including risk assessments and data-inventory processes.
• Support data sharing requests with external entities.
• Assist with general audits and monitoring activities within Compliance.
