Job summary

Wesco is seeking an Associate Buyer to replenish inventory by analyzing data and using business systems to make informed buying decisions. The role focuses on purchasing at the lowest cost, expediting product status with suppliers, and managing exceptions with internal and external partners.

You will review daily reports, support stock replenishment, SO and DS buying, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries. One year purchasing experience and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Business or related field required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1 year of Purchasing within supply chain environment preferred.
• 1 year of knowledge of industry including suppliers, customers, and competitors preferred.
• Knowledge of purchasing and inventory concepts is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills is required.
• Strong problem solving skills is required.
• Strong computer skills is required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews daily purchasing reports and system recommendations and determines proper quantities and items to purchase and creates purchasing documents to send suppliers.
• Assist in stock replenishment, special order (SO), and drop ship (DS) buying where assigned while making buying decisions based on most economical method.
• Follows up with suppliers concerning order status and delivery, and communicates delivery information to impacted departments.
