Job summary

Paradies Lagardère in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Assistant Buyer who is highly analytical to support the buying team in achieving sales, gross margin, and inventory turnover goals. You will assist with product selection, assortment planning, vendor communication, and marketing of lines to improve profitability.

The role works closely with buying and merchandising support teams to execute on assortment planning, vendor coordination, and inventory productivity.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration or related area preferred.
• 3–5 years experience as Assistant Buyer or related capacity.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
• Experience in assortment development and distribution a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a highly team orientated environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist buyer with developing reports to analyze sales and stock position to identify opportunities.
• Reorder product, determine order quantities and frequency.
• Plan assortments, promotions, and weekly/monthly communication documents.
• Maintain accurate records of assortment recaps and on order; review with buyer and planner.
• Collaborate with vendors for item setup, PO entry, and shipping information to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain strong store communication on product assortment, pricing, and marketing inquiries to drive sales.
• Support in creating weekly/monthly internal bulletins for stores on product assortment and operations.
• Organize samples for internal meetings and coordinate with internal support teams.
