Job summary

Grocery Outlet in Emeryville seeks a data-driven team member to join its World Class Purchasing Team. You will ensure 100% accuracy of Item Information, Product Images, Purchase Orders and Master Vendor Files within our systems.

You will report to a Buyer and support day-to-day department functions, PO creation, and vendor interactions. Strong data-entry skills, SAP, Excel, Word and Outlook are required.

Qualifications

• Data entry experience.
• Experience with SAP systems preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Keen to details and highly organized.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Buyers on all day-to-day functions of the department.
• Assist Buyers in writing purchase orders and monitoring production timelines, fulfilment accuracy, as well as shipping and receiving of shipments.
• Monitor future purchase orders and manage weekly receipt flow into the 4 distribution centers for timely arrivals.
• Review POs, communicate with vendors, and resolve cost discrepancies with accounts payable.
• Maintain DSD vendor-store-item linkages and Flexible Order Guides, tracking costs and promotions.
• Collaborate with inventory planning to support forecasting and imports.
• Ensure clear, complete communication with vendors and internal teams.
• Keep stores, vendors and warehouses updated on trends and changes.
