Job summary

Pearson is seeking an experienced Domain Lead to drive discovery and definition of core data products within the Global Data organization. You will bridge business strategy with data delivery, setting strategic direction and guiding investments to maximize business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, CS, engineering, data science or related; MBA/CBAP/pmp or data cert preferred.
• 5+ years in data products, technology, or product-driven orgs.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Awareness of ELT/ETL pipelines and data migration practices.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Relationship building and influencing without authority.
• Proactive, strategic problem-solver who identifies opportunities independently.

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize scope, goals, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and milestones across data product initiatives.
• Own communication of business objectives and drive delivery across data teams, OCTO teams, stakeholders, and executives.
• Develop clear narratives for data products to secure stakeholder buy-in and executive support.
• Partner with business stakeholders to drive problem definition and value articulation, including success metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering to clarify expectations and ensure delivery of measurable business value.
• Measure and communicate the business impact of domain and data initiatives.
• Collaborate across Global Data to advance data quality, governance, and sustainability standards.
