Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a data-focused analyst to collaborate with Finance, Technology, and Operations to improve reporting infrastructure and meet business partner needs.

You will translate requirements into prototype solutions, participate in UAT, and support production migrations while validating results against business expectations. Strong SQL, Excel, and BI skills are essential, with experience in data modeling and dashboarding.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of MIS, BI, and/or Analytics roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with data interpretation.
  • Proficient in SQL query writing across Teradata/SQL Server/Hadoop/Databricks.
  • Proficient in Excel including Pivot, VLOOKUP, and trend analysis.
  • Must understand ETL, Data Modeling, Reporting Automation, and/or Dashboarding.
  • Self-starter with strong communication and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business users/analysts to understand requirements.
  • Translate requirements into prototypes for enhancements with standards.
  • Participate in UAT with end‑users/IT and test new functionality.
  • Assist IT with migration of developed solutions to production.
  • Validate production results against business requirements and expected results.
  • Perform data reconciliation between financial systems and data warehouses using SQL and Essbase.
  • Provide rapid response to ad-hoc requests, scenario data analytics, and regulatory inquiries.

Job Description

You are analytical, data-driven, and technical. You have strong communication skills and are able to seamlessly interact with Finance, Technology and Operations professionals to develop modifications to the reporting infrastructure that fully meets business partner needs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the business users/analysts to understand requirements and functional needs.
  • Translate business requirements into prototype solutions for new/enhancement requests, with appropriate standards.
  • Work closely with end-users/IT during the UAT phase of the project and perform testing to ensure new functionality meets end user requirements
  • Work with IT to migrate to production the developed solutions.
  • Validate that production results comply with business requirements and expected results.
  • Reconcile and perform data analysis between the Firm's financial systems (e.g. general ledger, Finance Risk Warehouse) and CARI and CARI to other data warehouses leveraging Essbase, SQL and future AWS Cloud tools.
  • Provide a high level of responsiveness to ad-hoc requests, “what-if” scenario data analytics, and regulatory inquiries
Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
  • 1+ years of total experience within MIS, Business Intelligence, and/or Analytics roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to interpret and analyze data, identify anomalies, determine root cause, and recommend solutions
  • Must be proficient in SQL query writing in any of the tool set such as Teradata/SQL server/Hadoop/Databricks or others
  • Must be proficient with analysis in Excel including but not limited to Pivot, Vlookup, trend analysis etc.
  • Must be proficient in one or more data & business intelligence concepts including ETL, Data Modeling, Reporting Automation, and/or Dashboarding.
  • Self-starter, team player, good communication skills, be proactive in asking help when needed. Ability to take cues/guidance and solve problems independently

  • Experience with Agile development framework
  • AWS Cloud experience
