Job summary

Excelacom is seeking an entry-to-mid level Data Developer (ETL) in Greenwood Village, CO. The role focuses on writing SQL, building ETL pipelines, and ensuring data quality across relational and distributed environments.

You will collaborate with senior engineers to deliver reliable data solutions, participate in code reviews, and grow skills in cloud-based data engineering while supporting client deliverables and internal proposals.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional data development experience.
• Strong SQL with joins, aggregations, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions.
• Experience extracting, transforming, validating data in relational or distributed environments.
• Knowledge of ETL concepts, data pipelines, and data warehousing.
• Experience data quality validation and reconciliation.
• Basic Python scripting for data processing.
• Familiarity with version control and test practices.
• Understanding of data modeling (tables, keys, relationships).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
• Develop and support ETL pipelines and data ingestion.
• Use joins, aggregations, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions for data analysis.
• Troubleshoot SQL, data quality issues, and production failures.
• Assist with query tuning for large datasets.
• Document SQL logic, data mappings, and ETL workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions.
• Contribute to Center of Excellence and proposal work as needed.
