Job summary

COUNTRY Financial is seeking a data solutions engineer to design, develop, test, and implement scalable data products across the organization in Bloomington, IL. You will work within a SAFe Agile delivery team and collaborate with onshore and offshore resources.

Responsibilities include hands-on development of data pipelines, transformations, integrations, and services, using cloud-native platforms and DevSecOps practices to ensure secure, observable, and maintainable solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in data solutions design and development.
• Experience working in SAFe Agile delivery environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-native data platforms, data pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.

Performs hands-on development of data pipelines, transformations, integrations, and related components while ensuring solutions align with established architecture, engineering standards, and business requirements.Partners closely with onshore and offshore development resources to translate technical designs and requirements into high-quality working solutions. Provides technical direction, conducts code reviews, resolves development issues, and helps ensure code is accurate, efficient, maintainable, and delivered in accordance with established standards.Serves as a key technical contributor within a SAFe Agile delivery team, collaborating with Product Management, Architecture, Data Engineering, Quality Engineering, Security, and business stakeholders to deliver data capabilities that meet functional and non-functional requirements.Leverages modern data platforms, cloud-native technologies, data engineering frameworks, and analytics ecosystems to build and enhance data products, pipelines, integrations, and services supporting operational, analytical, and AI-driven business outcomes.Applies DevSecOps principles and engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle, including source control, CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, observability, security controls, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.Utilizes AI-assisted development tools and practices to accelerate coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and code review while maintaining appropriate engineering standards and controls.Adheres to and reinforces data management, governance, security, quality, and development standards to ensure solutions are scalable, compliant, supportable, and maintainable.How does this role make an impact?- Designs solutions after gathering business and technical requirements. - Develops software solutions that are high performing and meet technical standards. - Supports testing and problem solving/debugging of solutions. - Implements software solutions following best practices.Do you have what we're looking for?Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.Base Pay Range:$78,800-$108,350The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired.
