Job summary

DMD Systems Recovery, LLC (DMD) in Tempe, AZ seeks a Data Destruction Technician to securely erase client data and destroy devices as required. You will support IT Asset Disposition activities for laptops, PCs, phones, servers, and network gear.

You will also assist with device imaging, condition grading, and ERP data entry, contributing to process improvements and department outcomes within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Great communication skills, detailed-oriented, and consistent.
  • Collaboration in a team environment.
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience with sanitizing / testing HDDs and SSDs preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues with enterprise-grade information systems (servers, networking equipment, storage arrays, etc.), laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.

Job Description Data Destruction Technician

Department: Operations$20 Hourly || Paid Biweekly

HOURS OF OPERATIONS: MONDAY-FRIDAY|| 6:30AM-3PM

We are a certified B Corp in the Electronics and Sustainability field, with facilities in Tempe, AZ, Austin, TX, and Palo Alto, CA.

Job Summary

The Data Destruction Technician is part of the IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) team and is responsible for the secure and safe destruction of client data. Operationally this includes data erasure using software or physical shred or destruction based on client commitments or asset condition for laptops, pcs, phones, servers, or network devices. You will also assist with the physical grading determining next steps for the equipment.

Physical Requirements
  • May include standing for long periods of time, squatting, twisting, bending, and lifting between 10-50 lbs. (or more) regularly.
Employment Details

This full-time position reports to the Manager of Data Services & Lifecycle.

This role is temporary with a biweekly pay cycle.
