Job summary

Orion Innovation is seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead end-to-end data engineering and application development initiatives in New Jersey. You will manage day-to-day sprint activities, coordinate with architects, engineers, and product owners to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

The role requires strong delivery management, Agile execution, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate complex requirements into well-defined features and user stories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery across data engineering, application development, APIs, analytics, and reporting initiatives.
• Manage Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Develop and maintain sprint plans, delivery schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and resource assignments.
• Track tasks and user stories in Jira, ensuring clear ownership, acceptance criteria, estimates, and timely completion.
• Work with customers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into well-defined features and user stories.
• Partner with technical architects and engineering teams to validate solution approaches, estimates, and implementation plans.
• Monitor delivery progress, identify potential delays, and drive timely resolution of technical and functional blockers.
• Ensure teams meet commitments related to scope, schedule, quality, and performance.
• Provide clear and concise status reporting to customer and internal leadership.
• Coordinate across geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
• Support release planning, testing, deployment, and production-readiness activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, engineering practices, and team productivity.
