Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Decision Scientist / Operations Research Scientist to join our advanced analytics team. This role focuses on applying mathematical modeling, optimization, statistics, and ML to address revenue management, forecasting, pricing, and resource allocation.

You will partner with business stakeholders, develop models end-to-end, and translate complex problems into quantitative solutions.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Econometrics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with at least one optimization or decision science area: decision analysis or multiple‑criteria decision making.
• Experience with mixed‑integer optimization.
• Experience with nonlinear optimization.
• Experience with stochastic optimization.
• Experience with discrete‑event simulation and stochastic models.
• General‑purpose programming such as Python, Java, C, or C++.
• Statistical computing such as R or SAS.
• Scientific computing such as Julia or MATLAB.
• Ability to develop and apply quantitative models to real‑world business problems.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings and technical concepts to business stakeholders.

Project Description: Our client is seeking a Decision Scientist to join an advanced analytics team focused on applying mathematical modeling, optimization, statistics, and machine learning to complex business challenges. This team operates at the intersection of business strategy, advanced analytics, and technology, helping business partners identify opportunities for analytics, improve decision‑making, and drive measurable value. The work spans the full analytics lifecycle, including solution conceptualization, model design and development, implementation, integration into business processes, and ongoing support.

The role will have a particular focus on decision science applications related to revenue management, forecasting, pricing, resource allocation, and optimization.

Day to Day Responsibilities/Typical Day:
