Republic Services is seeking a Data Custodian Manager to establish and sustain governance processes across data domains. You will lead a custodian team, drive data quality and remediation, and partner with the Data Office to scale governance across the enterprise.

The role emphasizes process documentation, cross-team collaboration, and hands-on data stewardship in a hybrid work setting at the Phoenix, AZ office.

Formación

• Experience as data custodian, steward, or data quality analyst in a large or matrixed org.
• Experience defining/improving a working process for a team and documenting it for consistency.
• Experience leading/mentoring onboarding of team members while staying hands-on.
• Track record of investigating and resolving data-quality issues against business rules and thresholds.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud-based data platforms and governance technologies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Data Custodian team with day-to-day direction and coaching, onboarding custodians, and performance oversight.
• Investigate suspect values, determine correct values from source systems, and complete corrections to the system of record.
• Serve as the single intake point for field reports and data change requests; triage issues into correct categories.
• Define and document standard intake, triage, and correction processes; keep it current as data areas evolve.
• Partner with Business Data Stewards to translate business rules into practical data checks and share patterns.
• Collaborate with IT and Data Engineering so pipelines reflect field conditions and enable automation.
• Monitor data completeness, accuracy, validity, timeliness, and reasonableness against thresholds.
• Escalate systemic data gaps for long-term resolution and document processes.
