Compensation: $110,000–$135,000 annually, depending on experience.

Position Overview

As a Data Consultant, you’ll play a critical role in delivering actionable insights, designing scalable solutions, and ensuring project success, all while collaborating with an innovative and mission-driven team.

The mission for this role is to ensure the successful delivery of consulting and retention services by aligning client needs, analytical insights, and project execution to drive measurable improvements in member retention, foster meaningful change, and enhance client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Retention Service Delivery

• Lead scalable, data-driven solutions aligned with Medicaid regulations and client goals.
• Analyze eligibility and claims data to identify high-risk populations and recommend targeted interventions.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor trends, retention outcomes, and cost savings.
• Mentor and train junior staff; promote cross-team knowledge-sharing.
  
  

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

• Collaborate with MCOs, state agencies, and internal teams to ensure alignment with evolving policies and operations.
• Conduct training sessions or workshops for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support maintaining a client satisfaction score of 80% or higher based on service usability and outcomes.
  
  

Technical Alignment & Process Optimization

• Work with internal IT and data teams to integrate the retention service.
• Identify and resolve technical or data issues impacting service accuracy.
  
  

Service Innovation & Business Development

• Contribute to the design of new services, proofs-of-concept, and solution accelerators.
• Support sales enablement, prospect engagement, and proposal development.
• Participate in initiatives to strengthen Agilian’s consulting and analytics capabilities.
  
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in consulting and data analytics, with a healthcare focus.
• Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, including Medicaid, Medicaid data, and/or managed care organizations.
• Proven ability to understand client needs, translate goals into actionable requirements, and design tailored solutions and project scopes.
• Experience leading complex analytical projects.
• Proficiency in analyzing large datasets using Excel, relational databases, and business intelligence tools.
• Skilled in translating data insights into reports, dashboards, and client deliverables to support decision-making.
• Ability to use sound judgment and escalate project issues when needed.
• Experience mentoring and coaching junior staff.
